How to Clean Roof Shingles with Black Roof Stains

Roof Resolve is one of the most effective roof stain removal products on the market today. Roof Resolve makes roof stain removal easy.

In order to clean roof shingles with black algae roof stains you will first want to mix ¾ cup Roof Resolve per gallon of water. Next, apply the roof cleaner to your roof shingles using a garden sprayer or other spraying device. Starting from the top of your roof line and working your way down, apply an even coat of fully dissolved, activated, Roof Resolve roof cleaner to the area of your roof with black algae stains. Now, let the roof stain remover sit for 20-30 minutes so that it can go to work bringing the dirt and grime to the surface, penetrating and weakening the root system of algae.

After the 20-30 minutes have passed you may rinse your roof with a pressure washer on a low setting (like a hard rain) for instant results.

If you’re not worried about achieving instant roof stain removal results, let the cleaner dry and over the next several months the rain will rinse the stains away making your roof approximately 85% cleaner. Reapply to the roof stains as necessary.

How to Remove Moss from Roof

Roof Resolve is one of the most effective roof moss removal products on the market today. Roof resolve makes roof moss removal easy.

First, mix and apply Roof Resolve as directed above for black algae stains. Once you have finished the application of Roof Resolve you will let it sit for 20-30 minutes giving it a chance to weaken the root system of the roof moss.

Next, using the same process as above for roof stains you can either use a pressure washer on a low setting for instant roof moss removal or you can leave the cleaner on the roof using the gradual roof moss removal process. If you leave the cleaner on the roof you will see after several days the moss will turn from a bright green to a yellow, then brown color. Roof resolve is an effective roof moss remover that cuts off the nutrients necessary for the roof moss to survive. Ultimately, the roof moss will dry up and begin to fall off your roof with each passing month. Reapply Roof Resolve to the roof moss as necessary.

How to Clean and Remove Roof Mold, Roof Mildew, or Roof Lichen from Roof Shingles

Please follow the same mixing, application, and rinse directions as outlined above for cleaning and removing black algae stains. When rinsing you would still have the option of removing the roof mold, roof mildew, roof lichen instantly by using a pressure washer on a low setting or gradually by letting the rain rinse away the roof mold, roof mildew, or roof lichen over several months.
