Roof Resolve roof cleaner is a biodegradable roof cleaning product that safely removes black stains, algae, mold, mildew, moss, and lichen from roof shingles. Unlike many other roof cleaning products on the market today, Roof Resolve roof cleaners do not contain any harsh chemicals such as Bleach or Lye and are safe for your family, pets, home, and landscaping.
Did you know one out of every three homeowners replace their roof prematurely because they were unaware that their roof could be treated and cleaned. Don't wait until your roof is damaged beyond repair and replacing it is your only alternative. Replacing your roof will cost thousands of dollars versus roof cleaning and it's just not necessary. Roof Resolve roof cleaner is your affordable roof cleaning alternative.
Mix 3/4 cup Roof Resolve per gallon of water, stirring frequently until fully dissolved. Allow product to activate for 15 minutes prior to application. Mixture will stay active for approximately 5 hours. After 5 hours please discard.
Application Directions (Black Stains, Algae, Mold, Mildew, Moss, and Lichen):
Starting from the top of your roof line and working your way down, apply an even coat of fully dissolved, activated, Roof Resolve roof cleaner to the area of your roof with black stains, algae, mold, mildew, moss, and lichen on the roof shingles. Roof Resolve instantly goes to work bringing the dirt and grime to the surface, penetrating and weakening the root system of algae, mold, mildew, moss, and lichen on your roof, depriving them of the nutrients necessary to survive. In most cases the roof cleaning product application can be achieved by spraying the roof from the gutter line or walking the roof. As an alternative, if you are uncomfortable with heights, we recommend that you contact a local handyman to help with the application and removal process.
Recommended application equipment includes, but is not limited to, hand held or backpack style pump-up garden sprayer, electric sprayer, or gas powered sprayer.
Caution: Remember to always take the proper safety precautions while using ladders or walking on a roof. During the roof cleaning product application, your roof may become slippery in the areas where the cleaner has been applied. As an additional precaution, it’s always a good idea to first apply Roof Resolve roof cleaner to a small inconspicuous area of your roof as a test before applying to your entire roof.
Immediate Results (Black Stains, Algae, Mold, Mildew, Moss, and Lichen): After roof cleaning product application, let cleaner sit for 20-30 minutes, rinse using a pressure washer on a Low Pressure Setting while the roof is still moist. Never use a pressure washer on a high pressure setting, potential damage may occur. If you can’t put your hand in front of the pressured spray, then it’s not on a low enough setting. Always, spray from the top of the roof aiming down at the angle of the roof, never from the bottom of the roof aiming up or from the side of the roof. As you are cleaning/rinsing your roof you will see the black stains, algae, mold, mildew, moss, or lichen being dislodged from your shingles and washed down the roof; you’ll be amazed! If you do not have access to a pressure washer you may use a soft bristled scrub brush and a hose as a substitute. Keep roof surface moist with Roof Resolve roof cleaner while cleaning/rinsing.
Caution: Do not apply unnecessary pressure, roof granular loss or damage may occur.
Gradual Results (Black Stains, Algae, Mold, and Mildew): If you don’t have access to a pressure washer, are uncomfortable with being up on your roof, and don’t need the instant gratification of immediate results, we would recommend the gradual rinse method. After roof cleaning product application, you will simply let the roof cleaner dry and allow the rain to naturally clean/rinse away black stains, algae, mold, and mildew from your roof shingles over time. You can take comfort in knowing that each time it rains the cleaner reactivates and goes to work on the black stains, algae, mold, and mildew on your roof shingles. Results may vary; reapply every 60 - 90 days until desired results are achieved. Normal results for this rinse method are between 80-95% cleaner.
Gradual Results (Moss and Lichen): After roof cleaning product application, you will simply let the roof cleaner dry. Over the next few days, Roof Resolve roof cleaner will go to work penetrating and weakening the root system while at the same time depriving the moss or lichen of the nutrients necessary to survive. You will quickly notice the moss or lichen turning from a colorful green to brown and becoming very brittle and dry; ultimately dislodging from your roof. Over a period of time, Mother Nature will use the rain, wind, sun, and snow to remove the moss and lichen from your roof.
Prevention (Black Stains, Algae, Mold, Mildew, Moss, and lichen): Roof Resolve roof cleaners can be applied every year to two years as a preventative measure. Follow "Gradual Results" rinse method directions listed above.
Winter Roof Cleaning
If you are putting off cleaning your roof because winter is coming, don’t do it. One of the biggest misconceptions of roof cleaning is that your roof can’t be cleaned any other time than spring or summer, that’s just not true. One of the best times to clean you roof is right before winter, especially if you are going to use the gradual method. Not only is the algae, mold, mildew, moss, or lichen in a dormant or vulnerable state, but you have the fall and winter elements working for you as well.
Simply, pick a warm day to apply Roof Resolve roof cleaner to your roof, let it dry, and wait for spring. All through the fall and winter the pounding rain, wind, snow, sleet, and ice will act as a natural scrubber effectively cleaning your roof of black stains, algae, mold, mildew, moss, or lichen.

I used the roof cleaner on moss that was growing all over our small shed. Dried it up very quickly, just a couple of days. Then I just knocked it off the roof as it dried up.I did reapply a couple of times over the last month, probably because it was so bad. Saved me from having to roof the shed. I'm just going to keep spraying it on every once in a while and hope it prevents it from coming back.

Roof resolve worked well on the black streaks that were on my roof. My only regret would be that I should have ordered a larger size, I was just a little shy of what I needed to complete the job. BTW, Thanks for shipping the order so fast, I got it right before the weekend so it worked out perfectly.
